County Mayor is elected by the people of the county for a term of four years.  In McNairy County, the county mayor serves as Chairman of the County Commission and as ex-officio member of each board, committee, commission, or authority of county government.  The county mayor also serves as the Chief Fiscal Officer of the county.  The McNairy County Mayor also serves as member of the Southwest Tennessee Development District Board, Southwest Tennessee Human Resource Agency Policy Council, West Tennessee River Basin Authority, and the West Tennessee Railroad Authority.
